Who We Are

Since 1940, we've been proud to serve our members, providing electric service to the people of Coastal Georgia in Bryan, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties. As a member, you are an owner of the cooperative.

Service Area

Coastal Electric Cooperative has total and exclusive service responsibility for roughly 573 square miles in one of the fastest-growing regions of the South, with headquarters located in Midway, Georgia.

Capital Credits

When your electric co-op earns margins, we return the money to our members. These margins represent an interest-free loan of operating capital by the membership to the cooperative and therefore belong to you, the owners.

Foundation

One way the cooperative serves the community is through the Coastal Electric Cooperative Foundation. Learn how we assist with the food, health, safety, education, and shelter needs of citizens in the counties we serve and how to apply for grants.

Board of Directors

The Coastal Electric Cooperative Board of Directors is elected by co-op members and makes decisions in the best interest of the membership as a whole. Directors live and work in the local community and are cooperative members themselves.

Staff

Meet your Coastal Electric Cooperative family. These are the team members who steer the cooperative ship while always looking out for our members’ best interests, the reliability of our service, and the bottom-line cost of delivering power to every member.

Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Days give members the chance to meet with employees, hear from co-op leadership and, most importantly, elect the directors who make decisions on your behalf.

Bylaws

Coastal Electric Cooperative’s bylaws govern the operation of the co-op, including oversight by the Board of Directors, financial responsibilities, and more. A copy is available to all cooperative members.

Careers

Whether you are starting your career or you are a seasoned professional, Coastal Electric Cooperative is a place for you to work in an exciting environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
