Observed Holidays

Each year, Coastal Elec­tric Cooperative’s offices are closed for cer­tain hol­i­days so our employ­ees can spend time with their friends and fam­i­ly. Rest assured, though, teams are always on stand­by in case of out­ages or emer­gen­cies.

Current Annual Schedule

The Coop­er­a­tive will observe the fol­low­ing hol­i­days*:

New Year’s Day
Mar­tin Luther King Jr. Day
Good Fri­day
Memo­r­i­al Day
Inde­pen­dence Day
Labor Day
Thanks­giv­ing Day
The day fol­low­ing Thanks­giv­ing
Two days at Christ­mas**

*If the hol­i­day being observed falls on Sun­day, the fol­low­ing Mon­day will be observed as a hol­i­day. If the hol­i­day falls on Sat­ur­day, the pro­ceed­ing Fri­day will be observed.

**If Christ­mas Day occurs on a Mon­day or Tues­day, we will observe Mon­day and Tues­day as our Christ­mas hol­i­days. If Christ­mas Day occurs on a Wednes­day, we will observe Tues­day and Wednes­day as our Christ­mas hol­i­days. If Christ­mas Day occurs on a Thurs­day or Fri­day, we will observe Thurs­day and Fri­day as our Christ­mas hol­i­days. If Christ­mas Day occurs on a Sat­ur­day or Sun­day, we will observe Fri­day and Mon­day as our Christ­mas hol­i­days.
